EDIT:
Thanks for your great feedback and support on this design! I now did some changings on the "A" to make it more standing out. I think it's better now. The black and white versions will be flat and without textures. .................................................................................................. This is a commissioned logo for *mimico1981, I was asked to do the initials "AM" in purple and pink. This is what I came up with. Feedback is much appreciated! © Copyright by Lily A. Seidel 2009. -- <<-+-<[MythArcana]>-+->> Very pretty! I do love beautiful typography though
-- Would you like some cheese to go with that whine Madam? I think it looks great but we don't really recognize the A very well. The M is ok. But in general it's a very good idea and it looks awesome for a logo!
-- "Someday you will find me caught beneath the landslide, in a champagne supernova in the sky ..." owh waw, visually this is some pretty colored logo i ought to say, but if you're gonna use it for the mass printing process and in a minimum size, (lets put it about 1 - 2.5 CM), seems like the details won't come up precisely as how you put it, maybe you could come up with the 2 - 3 colored vector version to cover it up
after all, as usual, it's a wonderful piece of art from you ^_^ i love how you play with the textures and colors -- hello world am proud of ~indonesia View Indonesia thru our vector art at ~V4I |

Critiques
The colours look very well blended, and the texture added on to it really makes it pop. The letters have a lovely fluidity, yet sharpness to them, making it clean and crisp.
I think that the 'A' should be more clearly defined, though. The heart shape that puts the bar in the A is what slightly detracts from it. The 'M' is clearly visible, however, the A sorta looks like and upside down 'V'. That's the only bit I would really fix on this.
The circle design for this logo actually works better than a square or fully deigned piece.
Lovely work!
