This is my homage to the Australian Football Team that joined the FIFA World Cup 2006 in Germany after 32 years of absence. They played a very good tournament but unfortunately lost their match in the round of 16 on June 26 against Italy very very unlucky in the 95' minute by an questionable penalty! :tears: I really wished they would have attained the quarter-final because they played a better match than the Italians.

Since they were wearing this wonderful sunny orange and dark green in that match I used these colours in this wallpaper. There is a slightly different version of it in the zip-file. It additionally has the writing "Australia" down in the corner! Wallpaper size 10524 x 768.

Nice job, looks amazing. now i need to find a blanket of it or something and run out onto the field with it :P (joking, of course)



By the way, Its Actually Australian "Soccer" Team over here. You see, our football is something with a ill-shaped ball (not as round as a rugby ball) that spends more time in our hands than it does on our feet. Its more like rugby without all the protection. ( [link] )

Yeah, I've recently learned that in this case the Australians are more related to America than to England. ;) I never will understand how something can be called "Football" when it's mostly playded with hands and not even with a real ball, ha ha!
