I'd like to add a suggestion as well. Why write on the joker card at all? There is no typography on any of the other cards and I think it's quite obvious that it is the joker. I like the clean design of the other cards with everything incorporated. The letters on the joker card a just not as homogenous, but designing a font would be a bit exaggerated. And there are already four different fonts on the front cover. A fifth that only appears on one card is quite much.
From the "not more than two fonts" media designer.
No more than two fonts is totally correct and it will be that way. Right now I am in the process of typesetting the cards and the Joker font was already marked as an issue. Probably I will not remove or replace it but maybe it's going to be plain white.
Oh, man. These are so beautiful. Hopefully when I have money to buy a deck they'll still be available and all that jazz.
Anyway, like an above comment said, I'm not sure about the rainbow lettering on the Joker. Plain white would probably be better. It being rainbow is kind of... Distracting and just a tad disconcerting to the eye, especially if just looking at something the wrong way can give you migraines...
Nevertheless, beautiful work! The new back is much more fitting, and I love what you've done for the front cover.
That is looking MUCH better! I really like the back of the cards now. Maybe incorporate the design from the back of the cards into the packaging somehow? Because that is the best part and the package doesn't stand out as much.
