This is a very emotional work and technically almost perfect done. I don't understand every detail in the imagery but I love it either way. What I do understand is the sadness of the Pierrot because he doesn't want to leave and the little girl trying to convince him to stay. The rabbit and the rat pushing the luggage make lovely details. The faded background underlines the melancholic mood as well as the snowflakes and the cold icy ground the figures are standing on. The colourful lollipop marks the sweet center of the composition and adds hope and confidence to it. I think many people including me can relate to the scene because who doesn't know wrench?

All parts are well incorporated and there is not much that can be improved. The only obvious mistake is the missing shadow under the girl's dress and the umbrella. I think there should be a slight shading since both objects aren't in direct contact with the ground but are very close to it. Otherwise a very striking work!
