A lot of people answered to my recent poll with the question "Do you want me to make a CSS Tutorial?" I posted the same poll again today because unfortunately I lost some poll answers due to an edit of it. So if you want please vote again here:
The tendency is clear. Most of you people - about 65% would like to see a new CSS tutorial to learn from. Another 20% want to have a CSS tutorial especially when it is made by me. 14% of the people are fine with the idea. The small rest of the voters are firm with CSS or see no reason for another tutorial. Wow, that gives enough reason to compile my knowledge and share it with you people.
So here is the deal:
I am writing the tutorial in three chapters.
- FIRST LEVEL: The basics
You will learn how to make a journal body with backgrounds, header and footer graphics, how to change colors, fonts, margins and links, how to deal with the moodbox thingie and more. - SECOND LEVEL: Advanced CSS
I will show you how to make special boxes for text or features, different ways to create menus, columns, titlebars, boxes with scrollbars, placing extra graphic elements and more. - THIRD LEVEL: Smart Tricks
I will tell you some things about floating elements, absolute positioning, hidden subtitles, the coding designed textbox borders, rounded egdes with CSS, rollover menus and whatever else comes to my mind.
If you have special questions and you want to suggest some points I should definitely incorporate in one of the three chapters feel free to do so.
So now I hope you will still have some patience until I come up with one part after the other. I am planning to provide the tutorial in pdf format, tell me if that is fine with you or if you would prefer another format. Please don't say jpg! LOL
