I've been on DA for over 4 years now and in that time I've sold 8 prints...to family and friends.

What do you mean...that I've only sold that many and should have sold more? Or that it's hart to believe that I actually sold that many?

You are a great artist in my book and it's hard to believe that you haven't sold much more prints than you actually have.

oh! Wow, thanks! That lovely of you to say so. I've seen much better than me not selling as well, though. I think it has to do with the fact that this is an artist community and it's hard to get other artist to buy art.

I don't think so. If you check the DA print shop you will find all those featured prints that certainly sell well. If you are not featured you have to be lucky to sell anything.

You are welcome!

This might be a dumb question...sorry...but how do you get featured then?

Very good question. I think the people from the Prints & Publishing team select them. But being popular might be helpful, too.

I don't offer prints through DA anymore. I have sold 4 of the prints I do offer (can't figure out how to unoffer them.) However, because I did not make the minimum amount to receive a quarterly check, they(DA) absorbed my portion of the "profit". (Which for what they sell my work for, wasn't very much} On top of what they had already made on the sale.
Which means.. I got nothing. and they made over $100...

To remove a print you have to go to your Prints Store (a link called Manage Prints, select "Your Products" and check all prints that you want to deactivate.

Sorry that you never received your profits!

I don't really get prints actually, I have no idea whatsoever how I'm going to get the money (if ever) once they click on the "print available" on the bottom of the artwork .___. so that's why I don't give out prints

Since I don't have a PayPAl and I can't get one because I -also- don't have a Credit Card, I don't do prints yet. :( I can't wait to, but I'll have to either get a PayPal or get the money to get a Premium Prints account so I can be paid by check. :( It's a conundrum for me for sure.

i've sold two of them until October last year ... i was really surprised by the way ... i don't think i will be riche like this ... but but it's always a pleasure to see someone appreciate your art to the point to buy one !!!!

To be honest, i don't have much more success on other website ... maybe a little bit more on redubble and i consider really to sold them outside the web ...

That's no good. The DA shop mostly features popular prints only. This way others don't have a chance to be seen.
